About
My name is Ashley and I have just completed my degree in Education at the University of Regina. After 4 and a half years of hard work, it feels great to say that I am done and I cannot wait to be in the schools teaching. I was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. I love my life in Saskatchewan and can truly say that “I love Regina”.
I first decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was in grade 2. But obviously that is pretty young to know for sure. By the time I got to high school, I was almost certain I wanted to be a teacher. I did get worried that I may have been closing my doors if I didn’t think about other options though. So I thought about being an x-ray technician, but the wait list was 7 years and I really didn’t want to be an x-ray technician as bad as a teacher. I also thought about doing psychology but realized that being in school for at least 7 years was not what I wanted. Social Work was my next field of choice, but after thinking about it, I turned away from it and back to teaching. If you noticed, all of my careers listed above deal with helping people. That is what I want to do most with teaching. I want to help students and make a difference in each one of their lives.
I hope you enjoy my blog or portfolio (however you want to look at it) and hope that you can find some useful information from it!
